Casey Jones WMA
ABOUT
Discover the wild side of Southeast Arkansas at Casey Jones Wildlife Management Area, a vast stretch of working forestland spanning Ashley and Drew counties. Managed in partnership with private timber owners, this rugged landscape blends active forestry with rich outdoor recreation. Visitors will find a mosaic of habitats—from towering upland pines to mixed hardwood bottoms—creating excellent opportunities for deer, turkey, and small-game hunting. Designated primitive campsites offer a true back-to-nature experience, and marked boundary blazes help guide explorers along the main roads. Hunters and campers should secure the required AGFC permits before heading out, then enjoy one of the most diverse and scenic WMAs in the region.
