The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
ABOUT
The South Arkansas Arts Center brings a beloved holiday classic to life with “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” a heartwarming comedy about a small-town church pageant turned upside down by the notorious Herdman children. Directed by Caroline Callaway with Assistant Director John Lowery, this family favorite follows Beth Bradley and her community as they brace for chaos after the “worst kids in the history of the world” unexpectedly take over the leading roles. What begins as mayhem quickly becomes a funny, touching retelling of the Nativity story—one that reminds audiences of compassion, forgiveness, and the beautifully unexpected moments at the heart of the Christmas season.
Featuring a large, multi-generational cast and sponsored by AmerCable, Southern Bancorp, and The Call, the production showcases local talent while providing an evening full of laughter and holiday warmth. Performances run December 2–3 and 5–7, with evening shows at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee on December 7 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available online or through the SAAC box office, priced at $15 for general admission, $10 for SAAC members, and $5 for students.
